Folk music fills the air during evenings, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Unique local decor peppered throughout, like pictures and articles, adds charm to the pub setting.
Rooms lack attention to cleanliness, with cobwebs and dead bugs becoming an unsettling sight. The showers had drainage issues that necessitated quick rinses to avoid a flood. Some amenities, like the towel rail and toilet seats, felt neglected, contributing to a general sense of wear. A select few intriguing menu items were overshadowed by the kitchen closing early or limited options at peak hours. Pricing seemed reasonable until you considered the limited dining experience due to service hours, leaving guests stranded without alternatives.

A charming country pub with an inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day of walking. The food was exceptional, featuring a delightful blend of fresh ingredients, including assorted fruits, and each meal was beautifully presented. The room offered ample space and a fantastic shower, enhancing the comfort of the stay. while the pub experience was remarkable, some rooms felt a bit basic, lacking in modern touches.

Staying in the Standard Twin Room was pretty good. The beds were comfy, and the bedding was spotlessly clean. It’s a bit outdated, but everything worked just fine. The space was adequate, though I wished it had a few more charming details for a cozy touch. The room was quiet, which was a highlight for sure.

I enjoyed the warm atmosphere at The Ship Inn. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. The room I had was a decent size and came with a fridge, which was quite handy. I really liked the live folk music happening in the evenings, adding character to the pub. Dinner was good, especially the pie of the day. Breakfast was freshly cooked and substantial, with some local options that were quite delicious. the bathroom felt a bit outdated. There were some cleanliness issues I noticed, like cobwebs in the corners and some areas that needed a thorough clean. The WiFi was also a bit spotty during my stay. I found the breakfast arrangements confusing. Only a continental option was available in the room, which was different from what I expected. Despite these drawbacks, I had a nice time overall and appreciated the efforts of the staff.

Rooms need a thorough clean!!! Inconsistencies with service were frustrating, especially regarding access to the dining area during later hours!!! Parking is a nightmare when events are on, better management needed!!!

Great vibe and awesome food!
Had a lovely stay for 4 nights! The atmosphere was super cozy, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The meals were spot-on quality, especially the fish stew! Only thing was it got pretty busy at dinner, so felt a bit rushed. But overall, really enjoyed my time here!
